ENTE MORALE MUSEO E BIBLIOTECA RENZI - San Giovanni in Galilea The Museum and Biblioteca Renzi, founded in the post-unitary period by the Archduke Francesco Renzi, is the oldest in Romagna, one of the first to be established in Italy (Royal Decree 5 March 1885 by King Umberto I of Savoy ), But the recent upgrading (2009 and 2012) makes it one of the most modern museum institutions in the region thanks to the collaboration of various Universities, the Cultural Heritage Institute of the Emilia-Romagna Region and the Architectural and Architectural Heritage Offices. The Renzi Museum has been recognized as a "Museum of Quality" by the competent regional institutions and is located in the former municipal building that is part of the Malatesta's fortified architectural complex dating back to the 13th century. The Museum, divided by sections (naturalistic, pre-protostorical, Roman, Pieve, medieval and modern, majolica), preserves and exhibits interesting materials that embrace a bit all the phases of human affairs within a very significant portion of the territory Romagna, between the Marecchia, Usso and Rubicone rivers.
