LEONARDO DA VINCI IN ROMAGNA: HISTORY, CULTURE, GASTRONOMY
The great Leonardo da Vinci in 1502 made a journey of several months in Romagna where lived and worked in five cities (Rimini, Cesena, Cesenatico, Faenza and Imola): a great cultural and technical effort on the study of the forti- fications which brought him to define the map of Imola, the design of the harbor of Cesenatico and the physical map of the Romagna. Leonardo annotated in a small notebook (now cataloged as Code L at the Library Istitut de France in Paris) sketches, ideas, inventions, thoughts, opinions and even emotions.
The sketch in which he designed as the peasants of Ro- magna withered grapes to preserve it during the winter, is now adopted as the logo by The Wine and Dine Route of Forl-Cesena...
