THE CRACKERS
The crackers are typical sweets of Carnival originating in Central Italy , in particular the Romagna , Liguria, Lazio and Marche . The crackers are known a bit ' all over Italy , perhaps with other names , such as donuts otortelli , depending on the form in which they are presented . The classic form of crackers , for instance those of Romagna , reminiscent ' chestnuts , hence the name ( even if the ingredients are not present chestnuts ... ) , are, that is , small balls of dough fried and then sprinkled sugar , sometimes served stuffed with cream or jam , or chocolate or mustard .
