The Italian Farmers Confederation (CIA) is an independent and democratic association that affirms the centrality of single and associated farm. It promotes the cultural, moral, civil and economic growth of farmers and all those working in rural areas. It operates in Italy, in Europe and at international level for agriculture’s improvement and  the defense of farmers incomes and equal dignity in the society.

It organizes farmers and all those who are related to agricultural by non-transitory relationships. 

It’s aims are the affirmation of agriculture values, honesty and moral integrity, freedom of entrepreneurship, employment, rural environment, solidarity and cooperation, environment and territory’s enhance.
 
CIA works for the unity of Italian agriculture representative organizations and the search for convergences with all the economic and social sectors. It is devoted to the harmonious growth of the whole country,  Europe political and economic integration and the affirmation of democracy in the process of economic globalization. It also states the universal peace value, mutual respect and human rights.
 
CIA fights to achieve equality between men and women in the society and economy, protection of elderlies rights, to promote the inclusion of young people and the generational change in companies and local agricultural systems.
 
CIA is divided into associations, institutes and companies working on food security and environmental protection, in the field of social security, health, fiscal and tax, technical advice, forming, insurance , farm, organic farming and for elderlies, women and youth protection.
