LA CASTELLANA - Massa di Cesena

La Castellana was founded in 1967 with the purchase of the farm by Facciani Lorenzo. Later, Lorenzo's passion for the land and its fruits, was sent to Giampiero son and his nephew Federico.
The company, located in the hills surrounding Bertinoro, occupies an area of 7.5 hectares, cultivated exclusively screw; many of them recent and modern constitution.
The winery has the most modern technologies; tanks, all in stainless steel, are equipped with refrigeration system, useful to exalt the aromatic component of wines. During the year, the cultivation of vines is conducted familiarly. In addition to all the other necessary care, there is provided, in order to obtain a better product, to the thinning of the fruit in the month of July.
The harvest takes place by hand. The production is a total of about 50,000 liters per year of typical local wines, such as Sangiovese, cagnina, Trebbiano, Albana and Pagadebit all POD or IGT
