SILLARO IGP

SILLARO IGP The IGP SILLARO or BIANCO SILLARO is one of the 9 Typical Geographic Indications of the Emilia Romagna region, it exist since 1995 and is reserved for white wines. It is allowed only the Tradidional Methode (méthode classique) for the sparkling version.
Must be made ??from grapes coming from vines Albana with a percentage of at least 70%.
 
May be included alone or in combination non-aromatic white grape varieties, suitable for cultivation in Emilia Romagna, up to a maximum of 30%
 
AREA OF PRODUCTION OF GRAPES
 
The area of grapes production includes the entire territory of the municipalities of: Bertinoro, Castrocaro and Terre del Sole, Cesena, Civitella di Romagna, Dovadola, Forlì, Forlimpopoli, Gambettola, Longiano, Meldola, Mercato Saraceno, Modigliana, Montiano, Predappio, Roncofreddo, Savignano sul Rubicone, in the province of Forlì-Cesena.
In the remaining Romagna includes the municipalities of:
Borgo Tossignano, Casalfiumanese, Castelguelfo, Castel S. Pietro Terme, Dozza, Fontanelice, Imola, Medicine, Mordano, Ozzano Emilia, in the province of Bologna; the municipalities of Bagnara di Romagna, Brisighella, Casola Valsenio, Castelbolognese, Cotignola, Faenza, Riolo Terme, in the province of Ravenna. The municipalities of: Coriano, Rimini, S. Arcangelo di Romagna and Verucchio, in the province of Rimini.
 
RULES FOR THE GROWING
 
The environmental conditions and cultivation of the vineyards for the production of musts and wines must be traditional to the area.  The maximum production per hectare of specialized vineyard, within the company, must not exceed 22 tonnes.
