FORLÌ IGP

FORLÌ IGP The FORLI’ IGP is one of the 9 Typical Geographic Indications in the region Emilia-Romagna. It was established in 1995 and is reserved for the following wines:
whites, even in the types lively and sparkling wine;
red, also in the types lively and Novello;
rosé, also in the type lively and sparkling.
The wines must be made ??from grapes grown in vineyards suitable for cultivation in the region of Emilia Romagna, entered in the National Register of vine varieties for wine grapes and comprise one of the following grape varieties:
 
WHITE GRAPES
Bombino bianco,
Chardonnay,
Garganega,
Moscato bianco,
Müller Thurgau,
Malvasia  Bianca di Candia,
Manzoni bianco,
Pinot bianco,
Riesling,
Riesling italico,
Sauvignon,
Trebbiano (from Trebbiano romagnolo and/or Trebbiano toscano)
 
RED GRAPES
Ancellotta,
Barbera,
Cabernet franc,
Cabernet sauvignon,
Canina nera,
Centesimino,
Ciliegiolo,
Fortana,
Marzemino,
Merlot,
Montù,
Pinot nero,
Sangiovese, Syrah,
Terrano,
Longanesi grapes (reserved for wines made from grapes grown in estate vineyards for at least 85%)
 
They can be used to produce other varieties of grapes of the same color, non-aromatic, suitable for cultivation in the region Emilia-Romagna, up to a maximum of 15%.
